From a 3D playground to a lab notebook
Our first site was a small 3D world. The new one puts the words first and keeps the play one word away.
Before
The first Curly Mole Labs site was a world of blocks. Little characters stacked them on a glowing grid, and you could rotate the camera, drop blocks and open floating panels to find out who we are. It was fun to build, and it showed that we like to play.

Why we changed it
It asked visitors to learn the controls before they could read what we do. The play came first and the message came second.
After
The new site leads with one sentence about what the lab is for. The play is still there: type any word at the top of the home page and the dots draw it.

What stayed
The curiosity. We still like things you can touch. Now they sit next to the words instead of in front of them.
